Drummond Island Resort is located on Drummond Island in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, 1 hour from the Mackinac Bridge. Guests reach the island by car ferry from DeTour Village. The ferry runs daily year-round and the crossing takes about 5–10 minutes. Reservations are not required.
Yes. Guests traveling by boat can dock at the resort marina. Dock space is available and can be reserved through the front desk. We can provide a shuttle from our marina to The Lodge with advance notice.
Yes. Drummond Island Airport (KDRM) is located on the island for private aviation access. We can provide a complimentary shuttle from the Drummond Island Airport to the resort with advance notice.
Guests can stay in lodge rooms or private rental cabins. Lodge rooms are available from mid-April through mid-November. Cabins offer additional space and are available year-round.
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
Cabins include full kitchens (or kitchenette), cookware, dishes, towels, linens, and basic toiletries. Coffee makers and coffee supplies are also provided. We also provide an outdoor, charcoal grill at each cabin.
Yes. Most lodge rooms and nearly all cabins are pet friendly. A pet cleaning fee applies and a maximum of two pets per unit is allowed.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to reserve accommodations.
The resort features two on-site restaurants: Pins Bar & Grill and Bayside Dining.
Bayside Dining is the island's only waterfront restaurant and offers an elevated dining experience with seasonal menus with regionally inspired dishes. Bayside offers a rustic, elegant setting in the dining room, and a more casual setting in the Lounge and outdoor deck. Bayside is open during the summer and fall.
Pins Bar & Grill offers casual dining with brick oven pizza, classic favorites, and a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy darts, pool tables, and arcade games. Pins is typically open from mid-April through mid-November.
A complimentary continental breakfast buffet is available for resort guests from May through October on the 2nd floor of our Lodge lobby.
The Rock is the resort’s 18-hole championship golf course set across more than 400 acres of forest and natural terrain on Drummond Island.

Yes. Stay-and-play packages are available that combine lodging with unlimited or discounted golf rounds.
The Ridge Off Road Park is the resort’s private 200-acre, off-road park featuring moderate and advanced trails designed for ATVs, side-by-sides, and four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Side-by-sides and ATVs may be driven on resort roads but cannot be driven across grass areas, parked on lawns, or taken down walking trails.
Yes. The Range sporting clays and skeet shooting course offers shooting experiences that can be reserved through the resort.
Guests can rent canoes, kayaks and paddleboards to explore the shoreline and nearby waters of Lake Huron.

Yes. A seasonal outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day for lodge and cabin guests.

Yes. The resort hosts weddings and events for up to approximately 150 guests with scenic waterfront outdoor ceremony locations and indoor reception space.

Yes. Drummond Island has an extensive 70-mile well-groomed trail system right off of the ferry and is a popular destination for snowmobiling in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sledding, ice-skating, and ice-fishing. Ice fishing shanties and fishing supplies are available for rent, perfect for the prime fishing spots right in front of the resort.
