Ever thought of experiencing Drummond Island
Resort and Conference Center and Drummond Island
during the winter? It really does transform into a
magical winter wonderland. We convert our
2000 acres into a large winter playground.
This winter, you can enjoy direct access to the
island's snowmobile trail system directly from The
Lodge, Pins Bar and Grill & Bowling Center, our
Cottages, and Bayside Dining.
The Only Place in the United States Where You Can Do
This!
With over 150 miles of shoreline and 87,000 acres of forest, Drummond
is truly a snowmobiler's paradise offering miles upon miles of groomed
trails. Our International Ice Bridges to St. Joseph Island and Thessalon
(Ontario, Canada) are quickly gaining in popularity and establishing
Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center as a unique Midwest
destination. These two tree-lined ice highways are 12 and 18 miles
long, respectively. Christmas trees are placed every 1/10 of a mile
for passage from Drummond Island to these two communities in Canada.
This is the only direct, legal access to Canada over the ice in
the United States. INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR OWN PERSONAL GUIDE
Snowmobile
Rentals Available
Rent snowmobiles directly through The Lodge at
Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center. No
transporting to hassle with. Please call for more
details.
Throughout the season there are Poker Runs and Ice Races
put on by the Drummond Island Tourism Association and
Snowmobile Club.
Cross country skiers
can enjoy the same outdoor beauty and serenity with their own groomed
trails, catching glimpses of deer, fox, coyote, rabbits and a variety
of birds who call Drummond their home. We groom 15 miles of
trails on our own private property for classic-style skiing.
Our top of the line rental skis for adults and children are available
to our guests free of charge.
There's also opportunities for snow shoeing this year. We
have several sets of Iverson traditional-style snowshoes available
for rent, but for guests they are free. There is no
better way to see undisturbed winter scenes on the island than on
a set of snowshoes. With a little cooperation outside, we
hope to have a rink cleared behind The Lodge for skaters.
Again, snowshoes and ice skates are available to our guests free
of charge.
With all of these things to do, make sure to save time
just to sit and relax in front of our fireplace in the lobby, or enjoy time in our
Scandinavian sauna, or in the19th hole you can enjoy - board games, hot chocolate,
cappuccino,
coffee.
Where do we go for Dinner?
This winter, we have Dinner and more available! Pins Bar and
Grill & Bowling Center is located directly adjacent to The Lodge.
"Pins" features hearty, full portioned, belly-warming meals.
Pins is open for dinner daily from 4pm to 9pm, with extended hours
on Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 9pm. Come for Happy Hour
on Fridays from 5pm to 9pm and catch a Red Wing game on our big
screen TV. A full bar is available. Remember, every
Friday is our "island-famous" all-you-can-eat fish fry, and we serve
a great Prime Rib Dinner every Saturday night.
Bayside Dining is our
wonderful waterfront restaurant. We offer special dinners
every Friday and Saturday night. Menu includes soups, salads,
appetizers, entrees, and desserts; all of which will change weekly.
A roaring fire in the fireplace will welcome guests each weekend..
We offer a comprehensive wine list and full bar. Groups, private
